Our Story

Over a decade ago, Pastors Carlos (CEO/Founder) and Amparo Rincon embarked on a new chapter with their congregation. They had just purchased a beautiful church in the heart of East LA, a vibrant community rich in culture. Eager to connect with their new neighbors, Pastors Carlos and Amparo embarked on a series of door-to-door visits. These conversations weren't just greetings; they were opportunities to listen and learn. What they discovered was a community brimming with potential, yet facing the challenges of poverty.

This firsthand experience ignited a passion within the pastors. They knew they had a role to play in empowering their neighbors. Determined to make a lasting impact, they embarked on a year-long journey of learning and development at the prestigious Faith Leaders Institute at the Cecil Murray Center at USC (2014). This program equipped them with the tools and knowledge to address the specific needs of the East LA community.

In 2015, fueled by their newfound knowledge and unwavering faith, Pastors Carlos and Amparo launched Instituto de Avance Latino (IDEAL). Since its inception, IDEAL has become a beacon of hope, transforming countless lives through financial education and small business development programs. Their mission extends far beyond the walls of the church. They are dedicated to fostering self-sufficiency, creating a thriving East LA, and leaving a lasting legacy of opportunity across Los Angeles County.
